Patrick J. O'Guinn, Sr. is an award-winning Digital Forensics Cyber Investigation Subject Matter Expert (SME) in higher education with 15 years of experience in Cybersecurity - Digital Forensics Cyber Investigation Programs. 

Patrick has extensive expertise in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Cyber Investigation program management, curriculum and lab development, curriculum assessment, as well as experiential, hands-on teaching in university graduate and undergraduate programs and community college Cybersecurity programs. 

Having served as an SC Awards Judge in 2020 and 2021, Patrick evaluated and rated the latest cybersecurity innovations in a national and international competition.

Patrick J. O'Guinn, Sr. is an Online Digital Forensics Subject Matter Expert (SME) experienced in developing, creating, managing, provisioning, and assessing University and Community College Digital Forensics Cyber Investigation Lab Project Curricula.

Former Professor/Program Director Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigation      

As a University SME, Patrick directed the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) Digital Forensics Cyber Investigation Programs (DFCI) in the graduate and undergraduate schools. He also managed adjunct faculty for adult learners and oversaw the complete revision and update of the DFCI program from 2017-2021.  

Professor Emeritus Criminal Justice & Computer Forensics,   

Patrick retired as Professor Emeritus from Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland, after 23 years of teaching adult learners. During that time, he served as Co-Director of the Computer Forensics transfer degree program, co-developed in 2005, and as the Criminal Justice Coordinator for the Criminal Justice transfer degree program.
